ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 

     Miguel Martin is a retired attorney and journalist who, obviously, has way too much time on his hands.

     Martin received (some) of his journalism training at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism (two weeks!?)  before completing his graduate degree in Communication/Journalism at Stanford University.

 

     Previous web incarnations of his social/political commentary include “Mexican-American Grafitti” and “LowwriterMedia.com.” 

 

     In addition to editing numerous newsletters for an array of community organizations, Martin was the Editor/Publisher of “Perspectiva; the Hispanic Newspaper of Record.”

 

     Martin’s writings have appeared in several US dailies including the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner, the Sacramento Bee, the Salt Lake Tribune, the Minneapolis Star & Tribune and several weeklies, including El Hispano.  His articles were distributed nationally by the Hispanic Link News Service.
